What has Wairau River done to reduce emissions?
- 14 new wind machines to replace helicopters
- Smaller refrigeration unit to run outside peak times
- Lighter weight bottle - Smaller bottles = smaller cardboard carton = more cases/container shipped
- Plastic recycling reduces rubbish skip empties into landfill

Why isn’t the carboNZero programme just “Greenwash”?
The carboNZero programme is based on over a decade of research and its main focus is on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It has worked with pilot organisations to ensure that the measure, manage and mitigate steps are based on credible science and checked by independent third-party auditors.
